Agenda Passes ISO27001 Audit with Flying Colours!

Agenda was one of the first 50 organisations in the UK to attain the ISO27001 Information Management Security Standard certification and is the only one to include the BS7858 security screening and BS8470 destruction of confidential materials codes of practice into its audited processes.  We take your security seriously and continually strive to improve and innovate.  However, we also recognise for our clients that externally audited accreditation and certification is important when selecting a pre-employment screening and vetting supplier.  Besides ISO27001 for security of information we also have ISO9001 quality management processes, Secure by Design awarded premises and invest in the continual professional development of our team through our Investors in People standard. The accreditations are not just plaques on the wall, our principles and values are underpinned by these awards and so it is always immensely rewarding for our team to have external recognition of their efforts. 

This latest audit was conducted in March 2010, it was in-depth and concentrated on the key areas of security training and induction of staff, site physical security audit and compliance with the ISO27001 controls.  The auditor commented that he was impressed with the new security suite, the knowledge and openness of our staff and the levels of compliance in all areas.  Norman Mortell, the director responsible for the security division commented “Compliance and business resilience are high priorities at Agenda, we fully understand the need to demonstrate to our clients that we take the security of their information seriously, but, we also do so for ourselves.”  All organisations face challenging times with the economy and growing security threats, but, we firmly believe that ISO27001 alongside our other externally awarded certifications provides Agenda with a platform to flourish and to prevent costly and avoidable security breaches.  

Like most businesses Agenda has had major issues to consider in the past year such as Pandemic Flu policies, Business Continuity planning and Adverse Weather contingencies and the auditor commented that our up-to-date policies and processes were first rate.  Agenda’s controls and the belief that our accreditations add real value to our operation mean that we have enhanced and developed our policies and will continue to do so.  We will not rest on our laurels and will continue to seek ways in which we can improve, particularly in relation to the key areas of security of information and customer satisfaction.
