ISO27001 Re-Certification Success for Agenda
Agenda is pleased to announce that following a full day audit by the British Standards Institute on Monday 28th September 2009 Agenda has been successfully reassessed and re-certified to ISO27001 (ISO/IEC 27001:2005) Information Security Management System.
Agenda are unique in including the requirements of BS7858 security screening and BS8470 disposal of confidential waste standard in its IS027001 certification and these elements were also successfully reassessed. Richard Connelly who manages the security team and the ISO27001 internal processes said “We take our certification extremely seriously as they show our clients that we are taking good care of their information and being externally audited adds another layer of confidence” he went on to say “The audit was very stringent as you would expect covering our risk assessments and controls, our internal audit and management review processes, the development of our security forum, our screening processes, legislation and compliance and senior management support and strategy.” There were no non-conformances raised and the re-certification was passed with flying colours.
Norman Mortell, Director of Operations concluded by saying “We were one of the first 100 companies to obtain ISO27001 certification, for us it is just as much about running our business securely as it is about providing our clients with evidence of our compliance. We continually aim to improve our processes and systems to protect our business and to offer the best possible service to our clients”.
